Considering that I am what most people would consider to be a tight wad, it took a considerable effort for me to spend 00 on a TV. After living with an 18″ TV for 11 years, about 2 of which half the time I had to unplug it because it would not turn off, I decided it was time to get a new TV. I had it narrowed to the Vizio SV471XVT, mainly because it seemed like a lot of bang for the buck, the Sony Bravia KDL-46V5100 and this of Samsung LN46B650
